IEEE Estonia Section Board 2024 Election Results Announced: Leadership Roles Confirmed!
In the recent election with a 23% voter turnout (57 of 242 eligible voters):
- Chair: Andrii Chub received 50 votes (100%), with 7 abstentions.
- Vice-Chair: Yannick Le Moullec received 50 votes (100%), with 7 abstentions.
- Secretary: Toomas Vaimann received 52 votes (100%), with 5 abstentions.
- Treasurer: Urmet Janes received 51 votes (100%), with 6 abstentions.
All votes were cast online, with no manual voting recorded. The new leadership team is now confirmed! We would like to wish the new board members great success in their upcoming terms starting from January 1st, 2025!

Prof. Dmitri Vinnikov elevated to IEEE Fellow
We are proud to announce that Dmitri Vinnikov, who is currently leading the IEEE Estonia Section forward as Section Chair, has been elevated to the grade of IEEE Fellow (class of 2023) in recognition of his outstanding professional contributions to the design of impedance-source converters.
Dmitri Vinnikov is the first scientist in TalTech (Tallinn University of Technology), as well as in the whole of Estonia, who reached this important recognition. His Fellow nomination was presented by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society recognizing many years of volunteering and leadership.
