IEEE Estonia Section was established on 26 July 2006. The petition to form a section was signed by 52 members.
IEEE Estonia Section succeeded to be the 50th Section in Region 8.
As of July 2008, the IEEE Estonia Section had in total 85 active members (3 Senior Members, 60 Members, 16 Graduate Student Members, 6 Student Members) and 5 Affiliates.
