Join us for an exciting exploration of the latest advancements in fractional calculus and robust control techniques with the FOMCON Toolbox, the leading tool in fractional-order control. In this webinar, presented by Dr. Aleksei Tepljakov and PhD Candidate Majid Ghorbani, participants will gain valuable insights into fractional-order systems through practical applications and real-world examples.

NB! It is a hybrid event and is simultaneously held in-person in ICT-507AB of TalTech’s ICT building (see map) and in Zoom (link shared if you register via eventbrite).

Session Highlights:

General Introduction to Fractional-Order Calculus and Control by Dr. Tepljakov: Kickstart the session with an accessible introduction to the fundamentals of fractional calculus and its control applications. Then, dive into the FOMCON Toolbox—the community’s favorite resource for implementing fractional-order control systems. With examples and demonstrations, Dr. Tepljakov will showcase how FOMCON simplifies complex concepts, making this powerful tool more accessible for various applications.

Advanced Techniques and Uncertainty Management by Majid Ghorbani: Building on the basics, Mr. Ghorbani introduces Interval Arithmetic and the Uncertainty Interval setting within the FOMCON framework. He will share key results and work through examples, emphasizing the toolbox’s capabilities in handling uncertainties in fractional-order systems.

This 45-minute main session will be followed by a 15-minute Q&A, where attendees can engage directly with the presenters and clarify their queries.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to deepen your understanding of fractional-order control and explore the new, lucrative developments within the FOMCON Toolbox! The hybrid event is supported by Centre for Intelligent Systems and the IEEE Estonia Section Young Professionals AG.
